Our staff will include experienced horse trainers and adults with years of experience working with horses and children. We will also have young adult camp counselors to interact and help the campers with all our other FUN activities.

What to wear

Tshirts, sun shirts, etc

Recommend long pants for riding, like sport bottoms or jeans, shorts are ok for all other activities. Riding in shorts is not recommended due to use of your legs during riding Mandatory Safety Items Required to participate in horse related activities:

  1. ASTM Equestrian Helmet. Helmets must be worn at all times the campers are around the horses. We do not provide these for sanitary and safety reasons. We can make suggestions on where and what to get. “Schooling Helmet” from Ovation, Troxel, Tuff Rider, or IRH brands are of high quality, best value and usually have an adjustable fit. Many online retailers sell them. We also suggest Cavender’s Horse Town in Marietta, Wild Horse Tack and Feed in Powder Springs, Dover Saddlery in Alpharetta if you would like to try on prior to purchasing in their store or online.
  2. Blocked heel shoes are required for riding. These can be cowboy/cowgirl boots, paddock boots, etc. The block heel is required for safety so that the foot does not slip through the stirrup and cause foot entanglement. Amazon, smartpack.com, chewy.com are good sources. Wild Horse Tack and Feed in Powder Springs has consignment and new boots.
